This blog started as a photo journal of the construction progress of our" little cabin in the woods" Contractor: Mike Kennedy, Hazel Green, Al. Construction began 12/7/2009 move in date: March 14, 2010 For many years Bob had wanted a "little cabin in the woods"..the construction of his cabin was completed just one month before he died. I deeply regret that he never got to enjoy living here.

I created a work-space for painting-sewing-etc...in my little "office". Barb had a piece of glass (table-top) in her attic that she had used for a display table at her shop...(A Gentle Touch Salon & Spa...see on Facebook)

I found two old pieces of cabinets at Habitat....(solid wood $35)....cleaned them up----painted-added a knob...and ---WaLa! I have a new place to paint-sew-craft- etc...
Cara was the first to use it !!!

'Half way through January already...my youngest child has reached 50 !...Barbara will be 55 tomorrow...!!! and we celebrated my 77th. birthday on the 10th...Laura was here for 3 days!!! What a blessing my children are to me!
The three of us went to a Spirited Art class. Impressionest art is not my favorite thing but it was very nice being able to do something together.
Laura bought me a new computer desk and file cart..and she even got to assemble it herself .. :)

The file cart had to be shipped from the factory ...it arrived after she went back home so I have the pleasure of putting it together...
work in progress as we speak...
The pieces are very heavy and I have to sit in the floor to do it...so progress has been slow...today for sure, tho..
