Construction began 12/7/2009 move in date: March 14, 2010 For many years Bob had wanted a "little cabin in the woods"..the construction of his cabin was completed just one month before he died. Getting Close...two more weeks (maybe)
Until this last week most of Feb. was too wet and muddy for work to be done.
The painters started inside on Monday and finished today.
Yesterday the septic tank location was dug, placed, approved and covered up!
Also, the ditch was dug to lay the power and water lines...all the way up the side of Barb's yard to the street.
Next week the electricial lights will be installed and following that, the kitchen cabinets and floors will be laid.
They've got to finish the porch (railing and screen) and build the handicap ramp.

Monday Barb and I chose the plumbing fixtures...today we decided on the floors...
She preferred hardwood, as shown below on left...Bob and I prefered the wider plank, less textured ? selection on the right....it is not hardwood but its what she has in her shop and looks very pretty, wares well and is 50cents a sq.ft. cheaper than real wood...
The carpet shown is what we're going to use in the bedroom.
This is the third day of work on the siding...

Progress Report...
'Finally got a break from the bad weather .... a bit more work completed ...plumbing and electrical roughed in, roofing, windows and outside doors...If there are no delays in materials should be another 4 to 6 weeks before completion. We're waiting for another bid on cabinets...the first one was way over budget.
